To be a blessing in any way, so that you are a blessing to others. It is the small kindnesses of life that do make a difference.

The suffering and need of others. And the joy in them when they feel better. Their happiness is my happiness also then and that their being well might bring happiness to their loved ones also.

I am awakened to serve usually by the joy it can bring to others. I like to see people’s faces light up. I like to help people achieve goals they have wanted to achieve, but did not necessarily think they could do on their own.

What awakens me to serve? When I realize how blessed I am & how grateful I am for all my blessings, I feel the call to serve. As a member of the human race it is my duty to help when & where I can. It is the right thing to do. πŸ™

When I see a need I can meet, I act. It is important to share my time and tithe with others.

Good question. As I wrapped my latest small quilt around my shoulders, I wondered if they were really needed – and now I have posted my question of supply and demand on the quilt guild website – thanks!

The desire to be an instrument of evolution–both personal evolution and universal evolution. Our species in particular is at a crucial evolutionary point. I pray we take the challenge from “me to WE.”

The need in humanity drives me to serve. There is just so much need, sometimes it can be overwhelming. I often wonder how people like Jesus and Mother Theresa continued to serve day-in and day-out.

I was born to serve others. It’s the thing that gives me the most satisfaction. Day to day, my own survival gets in the way though.

Seeing others in need. It’s easy to get caught up in your own world but seeing someone that’s really in need is a wake up call for me

Teenagers with all of their hopes and insecurities encourage me to help. It is such a unique time in life – a mixture of bravado and uncertainty.

As an example, I was in a group with several other people, and we all agreed at the end of our weeks together how valuable the experience was. It awakened in me a desire to bring this journey to others, so I decided if I was asked, I would facilitate a group, and I am.

Finding better ways to move forward. More creative solutions, more compassionate solutions, more inclusive solutions, more solutions in harmony in a world that seems to be full of voices shouting at each other across a great divide that no one can cross. We are all dragging our fear around and throwing it at each other – we have to find a better way – I guess we start with ourselves and look in . .
