Today, I am grateful to be starting a class on how family is constructed in the biblical world. God-willing, this class will help me to learn how to apply the insights and wisdom of the biblical text into my own ethical and spiritual life.

Mystery. Not knowing what is around the corner, the path to take when the road forks, or the unexpected occurrences along the way. Life remains interesting, engaging, and I can stay focused on the moment at hand.

I am grateful for Grace. The opportunity to be open to it and for the possibilities it enables me to access. I realize that on my own, I would never be able to access what is freely given.

Grateful for my lovely walk this morning in beautiful countryside; for my lovely husband who did all the chores today, made the garden look beautiful and just picked me a huge vase of peonies from the garden; for being here and alive so that I can be grateful; for my little pocket of safety where we currently (mustn’t speak too soon) have no major problems and that although I am in great pain today, I can still go on living so much better than so many.

Making it home safely from our trip. My husband & I catered his cousin’s wedding in NC this past weekend (we are in SC), and while the wedding and food were wonderful, the trip to and fro were not! But we made it. And are home and off work a few more days so we can relax!

I’m grateful that my kitten is feeling better and back to his playful self. I’m grateful for the Vet who treated him. There is nothing like the sound of a kitten playing, eating and purring…..
I’m grateful for the peace and quiet I feel inside my being.

So many things: my 2 dogs Cody and Calvin. That my parents made it home safe after last night’s family dinner. Spending quality time with my partner Mike. My team at work. That I woke up this morning without hitting snooze. Being able to walk the dogs this morning and watch the sunrise. I’m thankful for this website and this community.

Just a quick response here ….

I am in the process of assembling a response to a current “news” ( not new at all in fact ) regarding the mistreatment of First Nations children and their families over the last 100 years by Religious organizations , politics etc etc.

What does that have to do with gratefulness?

The sad commentary from those who represent the various abusive organizations …are now the Bearing Witnesses to what Joshua Emmanuel named “The Bitter Cup” , he was putting a name to what he knew was to come……the mistreatment and abuse of his teaching by the continuing overbearing ego-ism within humanity …the very thing he was manifested on earth to discourage and instead redirect humanity back to their true nature , true potential.

And so now it has come full circle, “The prison guards become the prisoners” just as ancient wisdom teachers have said! The news – not news, is forcing an opportunity far more powerful then “reconciliation” to unfold , it is forcing ancient truth teachings to become known and activated within Humanity WITHOUT interference by the Old Guard – Prison Guards.

I used the term “full circle”.. Th Circle itself is a good example of the Symbols which have been mocked and shamed ….but are VERY MUCH alive and well and will serve to bring Truth and Love into the centre of BE-ing-ness…..as quoted here …the words of a great Mystic, Daskalos

“On the periphery of the circle man is not protected. WE Must know that if our consciousness finds itself on the periphery of our personality, violent forces as uncontrolled emotions, desires, egoism, which we may not be able to resist due to their velocity, will throw us out of the circle. When man concentrates, meditates, and prays he enters into the center of himelf, of his being-ness, the center of love, where peace and balance and blessings rein. [38;25]

So you may ask, how can we find this center within us?

Maybe our personality does not know it but the Spirit-Soul knows it. And from the moment that you decide to find it, the powers within you will accurately direct you to it. Some of these powers are Love, Prayer and humbleness. “

Today I am grateful that my husband and I resolved a disagreement yesterday and are back in harmony.

I’m grateful for my next door neighbors: a family getting back up on their feet after a difficult year for them. They are nice folks.

I’m grateful for every day my kids are healthy and happy on this earth.

I’m grateful for the opportunity this morning to work in the garden, with the red winged blackbirds singing and the dragonflies hovering and ladybird beetles everywhere, and grateful for time to think the thoughts I need to think, with some time in the sunshine.

Have a blessed morning today, my friends!

I am grateful for the large amounts of rain we have had, for my loving wife, my little kitty, the fact that I have legs to walk around a beautiful area where I live, and the fact that I can see well enough to read on my Kindle reader and to drive in spite of the fact that I have macular degeneration and one eye is pretty much gone in terms of its usefulness.

I am grateful that despite the difficult times due to Covid-19 and much loss of income, I still have the financial freedom and possibility to support someone in need who after two times of having suffered a Covid- infection now is dependent to come back onto her feet again as well economically. I am grateful for the Grace of being well again and so grateful for the many friends who were looking after me. Some even took time to cook for me when I could not look after myself any more. I am deeply grateful, as well to you who come to share and visit here. Your contributions are of great support every day. May you all be blessed.

I am grateful for the family gathering we had yesterday. The old slides that my father found of his trip to Italy diamond that include the pictures of our village and the house he was born in. I am grateful for my freedoms in this country. I am grateful for the technical spectacle we saw in New York this weekend of the Vincent van Gogh exhibition. I am grateful for my Parish priest and all my fellow parishioners how come together so regularly to help all of those within our Parish who are suffering in some way shape or form.

Thank you Holly and Kevin. The rehearsal went well. It was a rehearsal with a smile and a tear. It’s the first time we’re performing again since my husband passed away. My dear Karel was the basgitarist. One of the songs is called “I miss you so much”. By this song, It’s like he says “I’m with you”. I feel then very powerful behind the piano. Karel has always given me so much love that I can enjoy his love for the rest of my life. The tears sometimes turn into sweet tears. In my heart I dedicate the performance to him.
