She was a balls to the wall, ovaries out the door, go-do it, love-fueled, kinda gal who was equally at ease with royalty and prisoners. And yes, there was wine involved!
I want to be remembered by my kind loving heart, sweet personality, nice domineer, creative mind, and love for the environment & creatures on it. Also want to remembered by my great fashion sense.
I would love to be remembered as someone who really tried to love others as myself, and tried to leave the world a better place (with the emphasis on tried! I know I don’t always get it right!)
I want to be remembered as someone who risked everything to fight for justice and who succeeded in creating a more anti-racist, environmentally friendly, spiritual, equitable, and loving world.
Why does this question make me feel uncomfortable?
I’m not sure I have much to do with the narratives others create about me. I’m living authentically and gratefully.
As kind and loving man. A role model. Humble. Funny. Brilliant. Committed. Brazen. Trustworthy. Not afraid to fail. Authentic. Relatable. A leader. An inspiration. A legacy.
It has been said that “people will remember how you made them feel.” I hope that I will have made people feel worthy of my time, inspired, loved, heard, welcomed… Unfortunately, I’m sure I have made those closest to me feel, at times, guilty, embarrassed, hurt, inadequate. I hope that my love (and God’s) will cover over my multitude of sins.
As a mother who made mistakes, but tried her best to make. up for that. As a grandmother and great grandmother who was active and helpful in their lives. A mom, grandmother and great grandmother who loved them all and they knew it and could feel that love, and still feel that love after I am gone.
A large hand carved stone marks the grave of my late husband’s great grandmother’s grave in a small cemetery located on the side of a hill in the Ozark mountains. It reads, “She done what she could.” I hope the same will be said of me.
I just love this,
dear Carol . . .
it is stripped down to common sense honesty . . .
I think we all do what we can,
whether that is seen by others
or not . . .
For some it could be a general “remembering with a smile”. For others they might remember that I listened, accepted, welcomed, or that we laughed together. Maybe that’s it – that I was kind to others, and that we laughed together.
Years ago, one of my Tai Chi teachers was so beautifully joyful that it was contagious. No matter the day or time her love of life and joy oozed from her.
It was then that I became cognizant of the wake we left, the ripples that emanated from interactions with others and it was then I consciously decided I wanted to radiate lightness, love and joy.
So that is how I would like to be remembered, no matter the situation.
I’ve often thought of this…I like to think of it as my legacy. I’d like to be remembered as kind, loving, family-oriented, a great cook and creative. I want to be remembered fondly.
That depends on who is doing the remembering. Besides, I’m not done living yet. And how I live my life right now will dictate how I am remembered, more than anything I might put to words.
I hope others smile when they think of me. Or their heart fills up when I come to mind. I want to be remembered as someone who shared her light and helped others find theirs, directly or indirectly.

HOW DO I WANT TO BE REMEMBERED?
I will be remembered as a peaceful, humorous, humble and lively individual. I will not practice pre-judgement replace that with curiousity and love.
As a loving, compassionate caring person..

It would be nice if the memories were a sweet fragrance for those that cared.
That I was funny and kind.
I want to be remembered as someone who risked everything to fight for justice and who succeeded in creating a more anti-racist, environmentally friendly, spiritual, equitable, and loving world.
Now that’s what I call the real “Hot Sause!”

Don’t know. I just know that to be remembered for the most part would represent immortality.

As someone who was kind and helpful; someone with an abundance of empathy and love to share with all…

As a soul sister.
As a child of God. Loving, unselfish and always willing to listen.
As a loving and supportive mother and grandmother who .makes amazing banana bread!
Do you put chocolate chips in yours? I do and it’s so yummy:)

Thank you, Kevin – a good excuse for me not to answer the question 🙂
I want to be remembered as someone who tried her best with what life gave me.
I hope others smile when they think of me. Or their heart fills up when I come to mind. I want to be remembered as someone who shared her light and helped others find theirs, directly or indirectly.
Well, I always want to think I have left enough of a good impression that I would be invited back!
As an offering of service of kindness and conscious of our true connection- love-CorePeace.
