Music always lifts my spirit, informing the soul, sometimes expanding perception to the unseen and not yet heard. Being together with kindred friends, sharing. Beginning to reading the Diamond Sutra.

I am back to trying to take care of myself and do things that are good for my health and soul. My daughter is safe (in Rehab) and now I can breathe and take care of me. I went to a craft event at the library last night and then came home and signed up for a few other “fun” events.

Inspire or inspiration to me means “breathing spirit into my Soul”. I am writing again and it is definitely doing that for me right now.

I’m inspired by “Lifelines” the poetry lovers group that I joined yesterday — how the poems revealed themselves and we revealed ourselves through engaging with them.

So much is inspiring me lately. The love that my friends have shown me has inspired me to keep tending our connections. I watched a documentary last night (Stutz) that was very inspiring and will give me a lot to work with. And right now, I’m sitting in a rental house, overlooking the Pacific Ocean and coast. I’m on my honeymoon. The sun has just peaked over the distance ridge and the light is revealing an incredible scene. The beauty is overwhelming. I am inspired to carry this with me.

Inspiration=in spirit for me. This quote from Jane Goodall says it all and encompasses today and every other day with which I’m blessed.

“You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.”
    —Jane Goodall

It’s been 30 years this mid Nov that I moved to Minnesota. It quickly became a challenging move, adjusting to gray sky’s, unemployment, cold wintry weather, unfriendly people, and living in a relationship that did not have a foundation to sustain it. What inspires me is reflecting on what I’ve gained in these 30 years: Long term friendships based on a mutual primary purpose, 27 yrs of employment including 4 awards, tenacity of inner strength to know how to dress light or warmer depending on the seasons, and much more. Grateful for Grace.

That my legs held me up as I got out of bed. I have another day to do what I need/want to do, meet people where they are at, and grow my awareness.

Today’s quote from Thich Nhat Hahn inspires me.
It coincides with a call I’ve been hearing from many sources. I pray that this confluence brings with it the grace to move through today more slowly and intentionally.

Honestly, it is my to do list about all of our health care things going on. I am inspired to get these procedures and surgeries done and hoping for some peace of mind soon.

I am thankful that I have all of you to visit for an escape and to remind me to look for beauty.

Truly, the amazing people who share and participate in the Daily Questions day after day on this site inspire me. (And I want to say “thank you” to my friends who took the time to comment on my post yesterday.) And overall, without fail, month after month, I am fortified and feel fortunate to read and reflect on the entries that others make on various topics all year long. So many challenges, and so many shared ways how participants manage to overcome and rise to a better place regardless of how deep and how persistent the challenge. All of it, in its entirety, is what inspires me right now.

I am not sure I awoke inspired but after pondering the daily question I am inspired by today, this day that I have been granted to carry on my journey of sobriety with peacefulness, kindness, gratitude and love. I am also inspired each and every day by the good people who belong to this community of gratefulness.

A prayer I came across on the Centering Prayer app, which says in part, “… to see you and serve you in the ordinary events of this day.”
I love it for both its depth and simplicity.

It’s really early, I’d usually be stirring, then getting ready to meditate. I couldn’t sleep anymore and found myself delighting in my journal and this early quietude here. The house is peaceful. I haven’t entered into any busyness or mundane. I’m eager to go into my little meditation cave.

My faith community. We seem to be able to offer something for everyone, and I really appreciate that. It is because many of us have stepped forward to offer our time and talents, and of course, our financial support, no matter how small. It takes us all, and to see other people making that commitment and carrying through on it is inspiring to me.

Being alive and well and having made it 50 trips around the sun thus far. My birthday was yesterday, and since it was a milestone (as they say), it really stirred up some things in my head and has me wanting to move even more towards some things my husband and I have been talking about.
