… a vase of tulips gracing my workspace. Outside the window, small red buds are forming on the branches of a maple tree. I can hear a dog happily greeting a person or being in it’s midst … People are walking by on the sideway, enjoying the moment and day…

The sun has almost set for the day, the birds are singing as they about to engage in their nighttime routine. Both my virtual and physical candle are flickering as I listening to some ambient music. I smell vanilla bean from the candle and it soothes my aches and pains in my body. Every part of this moment is beautiful.
It’s a lovely way to end a busy working day.

I woke up this beautiful morning to see falling leaves from a tree in front of my house …. gently wafting down, settling down . And in an hour’s time there was a little child who was shrieking in delight and trying to catch the falling leaves. It reminded me to hold on to the childlike joys that the world offers.

My present moment beauty was the trees in my backyard. It helped me tremendously the past two days. It has brought me peace and harmony during this stressful time in my life. Slowing down a little bit always helps heal your soul from stressors in your life.

I was so busy this morning I had no time to write…so here I am, a little after 3:00 in the afternoon and reading the question….oh! I was just looking out the back window after letting our dog in, and I see house-finches and chickadees visiting the yard and eating an abundance of seeds. We had a nice snowfall this morning, which loosened up alot of the seeds I leave on plants during the winter months for them, and they are feasting to their hearts’ delights right now….true beauty that makes my heart glad!

Where I’m coming from is upstream of life. It is the source of life, yes, but it is not alive. From Here I look out upon a sunrise over there or the daffodil there and, my God, I discover life.

Late morning and I’m on a 100 minute ferry trip crossing the Salish Sea-the sun is shining, the sea is sparkling, the oceanside lodge prepares to welcome us . I am very privileged, I am deeply grateful, and I will enjoy our little holiday to the full. All the while holding beleaguered, courageous Ukraine in my heart.

I put a tablecloth on my dining room table this morning. The design is filled with yellow daisies and blue flowers I cannot name. It is a reminder to pray for Ukraine every time I pass by that table and I do that several times a day. Ukraine’s colors and state flower, the daisy.

Presently, I am listening to classical music as I look at this site & others. The selection of music is so beautiful, poetic, touching, soothing, absolutely delightful. Listening to music has been my “go to” lately, as I weather storms, sadness, grief, uncertainty, aloneness, despair over the world. Music does help, soothes my wounds somewhat. Takes my mind away from all the “stuff”. 🙏❤️🙏

A beautiful sunrise on a warm, tropical morning. My son tinkering on the piano. Thanks for reminding me to take note of these things and remember that I am blessed.

beautiful music on the radio..helps lift my mood. The situation in Ukraine is deeply tragic but the massive support for the beleaguered people of Ukraine is encouraging and beautiful. I pray for the beauty of peace…a lasting peace.

My husband is puttering in the background. It is a quiet, overcast morning, soon to be sunny. I will see a dear friend this morning. All is well.

Even when visible beauty is not apparent as in storm or war. I can be encouraged by inner beauty. Inner peace which is justice and mercy itself. The resolve of the people in Ukraine, the prayers and assistance of others. The beauty in the human spirit pulling together this gives me hope.

The beauty of each response here helps lift my soul and appreciate a bit better. The flags are whipping straight out on their poles. The wind will help the bud casings reveal the underlying beauty each tree has.

Like most of you, waking up in darkness and silence. Quietly petting the cats and getting my morning cup of coffee. Laying on the floor and stretching and breathing while the sun rises, bringing light. Vowing to notice beauty and appreciate the small things that make this life worth living.

The meows of my cats demanding their breakfast since it reminds me that they are still healthy enough to eat. The brisk winds against my windowpanes seem to signify the winds of change. It will by up to me to determine what the changes will be.

At this moment I hear freezing rain outside my window. It will change to rain later on as the temperatures climb to 15 degrees Celsius. More snow will melt. This helps me because I realize that spring will be upon us and with it new life and rebirth. This reminds me of my life, the difficult times I’ve experienced am experiencing and that this too shall pass. Sunnier days will come and with it my own rebirth.

My mother used to say, “March comes in like a lion, and goes out like a lamb.” Today is a lion’s day in my area, with blustery winds and periodic rain showers. The Snowdrops are coming up and the birds are singing. I’m beginning to see the red tinge of buds at the ends of the Sugar Maple branches. The sun is recently up and lighting up the tree branches and houses in morning gold. Beauties like this help soothe the soul, and this particular beauty is promising spring and abundance.

Looking out my window and seeing the sky and clouds is enough. It calms me. The homes across the street give me a sense of place.

We have been having an ice storm and it is dangerous to walk outside unless you have special gripping cleats on one’s boots. Local church services have been canceled. But even with that, there is beauty in people taking care of one another, calling, making sure all is well. I believe, in hope, that every act of human kindness and love strengthens us all.

May our prayers and loving human spirits strengthen our brothers and sisters in Ukraine. May we together resist evil and anything harmful and hateful.

A bit of overcast, and the sun is already shining to clear the sky. Grateful meditation paved the day to a peaceful morning. A beautiful big bird flew over the roof in front of my window, greeting, my heart greeting back. I am thinking of our fellow people in the Ukraine and all the people in the world who experience fear and despair right now, keeping them in my prayers. May the beauty which is always there in every human being be present. May the beauty of the rays of the sun and all the beauty given by its creative force reach them, may His Love, warmth and shelter be theirs to experience. Greetings and blessings to all of you, dear friends who share and who visit here.

It’s almost 4:30am, still dark in my part of the world, but the beauty here right now… it’s the silence of the moment, the time I have given myself before my early work day begins. The meditation music in the background. I appreciate starting my day this way. Sitting quietly in contemplation and gratitude.
    Happy Sunday!

There is beauty only if I am aware of it. This pure I is the source of beauty and also the source of the one who is aware of. It helps to find this oneness. The beauty of the song of a hummingbird is in my awareness, also me, the one , who is hearing the song is in the same awareness. Beauty is life itself. To be aware of it is living in beauty

There is plenty of beauty around me. This morning during my walk I saw the sun rise. She colored from light red to orange, to yellow. I heard a woodpecker knocking against a tree. After searching for a while, I also saw the woodpecker. Branches of bushes full of buds. The silence on the forest path. Back home the sun shining through my windows, the wonderful smell of fresh coffee. Perhaps my sense of the moment can also be called beauty. ☀️💛 How might it help? It is allways there, so it helps me to keep on loving life, I think.

I felt I walked with you, Christine. Even in our deep winter, we have many woodpeckers around our woods and home and I love to both watch and hear them…. This morning, the woodpeckers bring us together…
