That everyone is doing their best to get through their day. Some do it with more ease than others.

You never know how your act of kindness, no matter how small, can uplift and impact others.

I need to stop and remember how lucky I am to have the family, friends, and co-workers. If I thought about what life would be like without them, I would appreciate them more, and be warmer to them. I also need to think about the importance of every person I come across–the cashier, the deliveryman, the drive-thru attendant, and think about how they make my life easier and how stressful the day could be for them. If I thought that way, I would also be warmer and more appreciative of them.

Sharing Christine’s frown… perhaps emulate a flower in the garden – not doing anything in particular, other than bloom.

We are all sentient beings, worthy of dignity and respect. (No matter how much I disagree with them).

I try to remember this verse in Ephesians:
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
I am not dealing with what is seen on the surface.
Sometimes it’s easier to be tender to those at a distance who are not “bumping up against me”. Yet I do not know all there is to know.
Wisdom and an open heart to help me see from God’s perspective what is needed.

That’s a question written for me for today – thank you. Love and gratitude toward the one, who will be receptive. Love toward the young one who will be less receptive and toward whom my love is weaker – what else toward the young one – I’ll continue to ponder. Gratitude is coming to mind – surprise surprise – that’s what I’ll focus on – it is giving me good feelings toward the young one and inside myself. Love feels like such a complex and messy emotion, as compared with, simply, gratitude!

Not judging someone else’s struggle. Your mountain may be my mole hill. It’s important to meet the other person where they are, not where I think they should be.

Like an old fashioned blackboard, it can be helpful to wipe things clean at the end of the day with those we know. My teen can be a bit difficult these days, but i can start each day with a clean board and “no history” and it will allow me to be more tender.

Dear Holly – gratitude leaped up for me when answering the question with regard to the tween grandchild I’ll see today, who left me ringing the doorbell for 4o min Fri at suppertime when the door code wasn’t working for me. ‘They’ was such a dear and so fond of me when they were young. They said, ‘I’m not supposed to open the door at night/to strangers [one of those]’ – but the door has a window, and they knew I was coming. Sigh. Time to work on that gratitude again. Warm wishes to you and lots of gratitude for you 🙂

Since the giver in any human transaction IS also the primary benefactor of the giving /…be it tenderness, aka “love” etc / the “what would allow” could only be my relaxed / non- judgemental / openness to “life as it is” t0day.

To have a positive mind set by not continually looking at the news. Focusing on the present and what it has to offer. Being compassionate to me and continual positive self talk and self appreciation. By looking after my mental and emotional health I can then be there for others.

To remember that everyone has something going on inside them that we cannot see. My neighbor who has mental health issues and is so unhappy does not need harsh words, but understanding. That doesn’t mean I condone her actions, but that I continue to offer her loving kindness and healing in my mind. And to be tender to myself as well. And when I walk our dog today, continue to smile at each and every person I encounter. I find it uplifting to do this, because most people smile back, and it lightens my load as well!

remembering that I am in the hands of a loving God no matter what happens helps me through each day. A Priest friend of mine told us all one day that simply making the sign of the cross frequently is a very real prayer. It helps especially when one is in a dark place.

“Be kind, for everyone is fighting a hard battle,” is a phrase I say to myself during rare moments when I might otherwise be too quick to tune-out and dismiss an encounter with another person. Fortunately, this seldom happens, but the phrase opens my ears and softens my heart every time I repeat it under my breath. (Attributed to numerous sources)

Feeling and seeing the tenderness in everything around me. Especially human beings are so fragile and also tender beings . We are very powerfull and Tender at the same time, that is my feeling. Tenderness is my apreciation towards that what surrounds me

More tender? This question made me frown. I believe I cannot measure tenderness. But surely, I wil be tender toward those I encounter today. I love people 💛.

Dear Christine – if you cook meat 🥩 longer, doesn’t it become more tender, until it falls apart? [I don’t know where that takes us!] Thank you for your reply 🤗😘

Dear Mica, Here is a language difference. In Dutch we know the word “mals” by meat, and the word “teder” tender is only used when there is a soft, friendly, loving and gentle manner.🥰😘

Thank you, Christine – mals and teder. But I think I’d like to become more soft, more friendly, more loving, and more gentle? 😊

Every day I ask the Mother of God to help me to think act and judge as she did. This is a prayer which I found many years ago in my Mother’s little prayer book after she died
Daily Prayer to the Mother of God
All I do today oh Mother mine give to thee. Let all my work and rest be
sanctified by thee. All my thinking and my feeling all my praying and my longing
all my suffering and rejoicing all my loving and forgiving in thy hands I wish to
lay oh Mother mine. In the holy wave of grace through thee so richly flowing
let all immersed be. The world’s confusing shadows let Light and Love dispel.
Let all whose minds are clouded, or lost in doubt or error, let all whose hearts
are heavy, weighed down by grief or pain let all whose courage fails them, who
know no peace or joy, let all men know thy healing, thy light, thy love, thy joy.
( found years ago on a prayer card in my Mother’s prayer book)
I know ‘Thee’ and ‘Thou’ are not used any more but I like to keep the prayer as my Mother had it.

‘Thee’ and ‘thou’ are treasures to me, csalt, because I remember my great aunt speaking in this way to her friends when I went once with her to her Quaker church. Thank you for bringing up this dear memory! 🤗

Thank You VERY VERY much for sharing this csalt. I have copied it to my prayer file. As a member of the Essene Tradition Mother Mary is not forgotten, she is an ever present power in all the inner work we do.

I would like to share with you this very “Tender” meditation exercise which I fell will compliment your mother’s gift …feel free to share it because Mary’s presence, wisdom and power is very much need to be applied in current times

Take a few deep and conscious breaths and completely relax mentally, psychically, and physically.

Now, you feel completely relaxed on all these levels.

Breath deeply, Concentrate and feel everywhere in your chest.

        Feel your etheric heart.

As a personality you had many different mothers in all your incarnations.

But in reality, you had only one mother in all those lives.

        It is your Mother Mary.

        So, feel blessed.

Continue to consciously breathe and feel your etheric heart.

Mentally place your etheric hands on your heart centre. Visualise a six-pointed star there and touch it.

Now you are holding a lily with six petals in your etheric hands.

        Smell its fragrance.

        Feel its vibrations.

        It speaks to you.

It creates vibrations of Life and Love.

        It speaks of God’s wisdom.

        Listen and learn.

Bring into your mind Virgin Mary.

        Long pause

Witness the work of the Archangel Gabriel.

The entire universe is in her and you are part of it.

        Long pause

Mentally feel the smell of the lily spreading in the whole world.

Wish that peace, love and understanding prevail across the globe … from heart to heart, from country to country.

Breathe this sweet fragrance of Life and Love and keep it in you.

Turn to Mother Mary and mentally say:

        All creation rejoices in Thee,
O Thou who art full of grace,
both in the assembly of the angels and the human race.
        Thou art a hallowed temple,
        and a spiritual paradise,
        the glory of virgins,
whence God had taken flesh and became a little child,
He Who is from Eternity our God.
For He made thy womb His throne
and formed thy body to be broader than the heavens.
        All creation rejoices in thee.
O Thou who art full of grace,
        glory to Thee.

Stay for a while with Her,

and then concentrate fully in your material body again.

        END

            Love Deeply
Do not hesitate to love and to love deeply. You might be afraid of the pain that deep love can cause. When those you love deeply reject you, leave you, or die, your heart will be broken. But that should not hold you back from loving deeply. The pain that comes from deep love makes your love even more fruitful. It is like a plow that breaks the ground to allow the seed to take root and grow into a strong plant. Every time you experience the pain of rejection, absence, or death, you are faced with a choice. You can become bitter and decide not to love again, or you can stand straight in your pain and let the soil on which you stand become richer and more able to give life to new seeds.
