One of the most powerful ways many people are introduced to grateful living is through the timeless words of Br. David in his 5-minute video, A Good Day. This reminder about the gifts of every day, has now been viewed on YouTube over 1 million times and translated into 13 languages.
This year, we celebrate 10 years since Br. David recorded the short audio meditation about gratefulness (in one take!) which was then set to music by award-winning composer Gary Malkin. The recording was matched with beautiful images in 2007 and became a sensational video representation of grateful living, as well as the basis for Louie Schwartzberg’s Gratitude video and TedX talk, which have been seen almost 5 million times in the last 5 years.
Please celebrate this important milestone and the wisdom of Br. David’s words by watching and sharing A Good Day with those you love. Share your reflections below…

A most lovely 5 minutes!
This video makes me feel alive and grateful. Every time I watched, I say: Thank you Brother, thank you so much for your reflection about this beautiful gift, the life.
For many times, during some moment no so good, I remember it and I look the sky and I repeat by myself: you think this is another day in your life? It’s not just another day…it’s a gift.
And then, I can rescue my love and my feeling of gratefulness.
Today I shared my reflection with my friends of viviragradecidos.org; the work published by Brother David and the grateful family, helps us to remove our armor. It helps us to live the feeling of gratitude and lightness.
Because this natural exchange of fraternal love is possible only when we are without armor, so, our hearts can beat strong, full of life.
With fraternal love and gratitude 🙂
Cintia
One of the most powerful yet gentle 5 minutes I can spend to shift my perspective on most everything – it always works to shift me to gratefulness.
